During a productive session, a miniature clock is displayed, and notifications, badges, and app flashes are hidden for the defined time.

How to Use Concentration Mode

Windows 11 2022 Update offers three ways to start Concentration mode:

1. Quick Settings

  • Click the time and date button in the taskbar or use the shortcut Windows key + N.
  • Under the Calendar, select the duration of the session.
  • Click on the Concentration button.

2. Settings

  • Open the Settings app (gear icon in the system tray).
  • Click on System.
  • Select Concentration on the right side.
  • Set the duration of the session.
  • Click on the Start production session button.

3. Clock App

  • Click the Windows key or Start key and type “Clock” in the text field.
  • Open the Clock app by clicking on the corresponding icon.
  • Click on Concentration Mode Sessions.
  • Set the duration of the session.
  • (Optional) Select Ignore Breaks.
  • Click on the Start production session button.

Whichever method you choose, a Concentration mode session will start, hiding notifications and alerts.

How to Change Concentration Mode Settings

Configuration of Concentration mode can be done from both Settings and the Clock app, offering different customization options.

Settings

  • Open Settings by clicking on the gear icon.
  • Click on System.
  • Select Concentration.
  • Customize various notification features during a productive session, such as showing the timer in the Clock app, hiding badges in taskbar apps, hiding blinking in taskbar apps, and turning on Do Not Disturb.

Clock App

  • Click the Windows key or Start key and type “Clock.”
  • Open the Clock app.
  • Click on the gear icon for Settings.
  • Customize the duration of productive sessions, end session sounds, end of pause sounds, integration with Spotify and To Do.

Integrating Concentration Mode with Spotify and To Do

Concentration mode offers integration with Spotify and To Do for a personalized experience.

  • Open the Clock app.
  • Click on Productive Sessions.
  • Connect Spotify and select a playlist.
  • Create a new session, specifying duration and additional settings.
  • Start the production session with background music.

Daily Progress

The Clock app includes a Daily Progress feature to track productive sessions. Customize daily goals and settings for daily progress tracking.

  • Open the Clock app.
  • Click on Productive Sessions.
  • In Daily Progress, customize daily goals and tracking preferences.
  • Save your settings.
